Quality & Product Development ManagerDepartment: QA/QC & R&DReports to: General Director + IKEAWork Location: My Xuan A Industrial Park, Phu My Ward, HCMCContact: 0969.20.30.42 Minh ThúyJOB OBJECTIVE:Manage the entire quality system and product sample development in accordance with IKEA standards. Ensure products meet technical requirements, durability, safety, sustainability, and comply with international standards. Lead New Product Development (NPD) activities from prototyping to mass production.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Product Quality Management according to IKEA StandardsImplement and maintain a quality management system compliant with IKEA standards (including ISO, IWAY, GO/NOGO, RISK ASSESSMENT, QW90, etc.).Control the quality of raw materials, production processes, finished products, packaging, and transportation.Supervise product testing for durability, safety, chemical content, environmental impact, and third-party certifications.Manage customer complaints (Claims) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Ensure quality KPIs (e.g. claim rate, first pass yield, audit score...) meet the targets committed to IKEA.2. New Product Development (NPD)Manage the full process of sample product development according to IKEA’s requirements (Proto, Test, First Delivery, Running Range).Collaborate closely with Design, Production, Purchasing departments and IKEA Merchandisers to ensure feasibility and efficiency of new products.Ensure developed samples comply with IKEA’s technical, environmental, and material standards, as well as international regulations (REACH, CARB, FSC...).Keep updated on eco-friendly material trends and apply design improvements to optimize cost and enhance product value.3. System Management & Internal TrainingEstablish quality inspection procedures, checklists, and forms in compliance with IKEA and ISO standards.Guide and train QA/QC and R&D staff on quality standards and customer technical requirements.Evaluate team capabilities, suggest improvements, and allocate resources effectively for optimal operation.4. Reporting & Continuous ImprovementProvide regular reports to the Board of Directors on quality performance, claims, sample development progress, and potential risks.Implement continuous improvement activities (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis...) to enhance performance and reduce errors.Work directly with IKEA representatives during audits, periodic meetings, and new product development sessions.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:University degree or higher in Engineering, Mechanical, Wood Technology, Industrial Design, or related fields.Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management or R&D roles, preferably in furniture or household goods for IKEA or similar markets.Deep knowledge of IKEA standards including: IWAY, GO/NOGO, QW90, FMEA, FSC, Chemical requirements, etc.Strong leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication skills (internal and external).Proficient in English or Chinese (spoken – written – technical), especially with IKEA systems (Connect, Webshop, etc.).Preferred experience working with manufacturing plants in wood, metal, plastic, or IKEA product groups such as Storage, Tables, Beds, Kitchenware, etc.------E: thuy.ha@kosaidovn.comP: 0969.20.30.42 - Minh Thúy
