Job Description

Location: Bangalore, IndiaExperience: Minimum 10 years in Quality Assurance & Quality Control, with mandatory experience in Metro Rail/Urban Transit MEP projectsJob PurposeTo lead, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for the MEP package of the Bangalore Metro project, ensuring all works comply with project specifications, contract requirements, applicable codes, and standards. The QA/QC Manager will guide site teams, ensure proper documentation, enforce procedures, conduct audits, and coordinate quality-related activities to achieve project quality objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and maintain all project quality documents including Quality Manuals, Quality Plans, ITPs, Method Statements, Formats, and Procedures.Ensure timely approval of all QA/QC documents from the client/consultant.Conduct regular training sessions and toolbox talks for site engineers, supervisors, and technicians on QMS requirements, inspection procedures, and best quality practices.Ensure all site staff understand and follow the approved procedures and standards.Identify, prepare, and implement work procedures, ITPs, checklists, and quality records relevant to MEP systems (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Electrical, LV systems, etc.).Monitor execution to ensure compliance with approved methods and specifications.Ensure all testing and measuring instruments are calibrated in accordance with the calibration schedule.Maintain records and coordinate with agencies for timely calibration.Ensure quality checks and tests are performed as per ITPs and project specifications.Coordinate with consultants/client representatives for inspections and approvals.Verify materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to project quality requirements.Identify non-conformities and raise NCRs where required.Coordinate with site teams for timely analysis, corrective actions, and closure of NCRs.Maintain detailed NCR logs and track compliance.Plan, organize, and conduct internal quality audits and supplier audits as per the audit schedule.Prepare audit reports and ensure follow-up actions are implemented.Ensure all quality documents are properly controlled, updated, and archived as per QMS requirements.Maintain an effective document control and record-keeping system for inspections, tests, materials, and construction activities.Maintain proper records of all inspections, tests, calibration certificates, quality formats, and audit reports.Prepare periodic quality reports for management and client review.Ensure traceability and transparency of quality documentation at all times.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in MEP works, with at least 4–5 years in Metro or Rail Infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS requirements.Thorough understanding of MEP installation standards, codes, and specifications.Experience in handling QA/QC documentation, audits, and inspections.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership capabilities.Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC software/tools.Key Personal AttributesDetail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and compliance.Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.Proactive, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal and client coordination skills.
