My client, a rapidly growing algorithmic trading firm, is building some of the most advanced trading systems in the cryptocurrency space. They combine cutting-edge trading strategies with scalable execution infrastructure, offering a unique opportunity to work on fully automated, high-performance trading platforms and distributed ML research systems. This is an exciting time to join, contribute to the growth of crypto strategies, and help scale high-frequency trading capabilities.What will you doAs a Quantitative Researcher, you will be a core member of a multi-disciplinary, high-performance team. You will collaborate with engineers and researchers to design and implement HFT monetization frameworks from the ground up, improve execution quality, and optimize trading strategies. The environment is highly autonomous and meritocratic—direction is provided, but ownership and creativity are expected.Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of models and algorithms for trading and optimal execution of high-volume crypto strategies.- Collaborate with peer researchers and quant developers on HFT alpha research, market impact modeling, ML modeling, execution benchmarking, and performance profiling.- Analyze large trade datasets for post-trade analytics, improve monitoring, decompose PnL, and identify algorithmic opportunities or blind spots.- Work with engineering and research teams to improve strategy capacity and profitability from a trading cost perspective.What do you bring - Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Quantitative Finance from a QS Top 200 University- Experience in (high to mid-frequency) execution research and designing predictive trade- or book-based features. - Familiarity with crypto markets is highly desirable.- Strong practical experience with large, unstructured datasets and data pre-processing.- Understanding of position management, market risk, and optimal execution (implementation shortfall, trade cost modeling).- Proficient in Python and SQL, with a scientific mindset, attention to detail, and rigorous testing methodology.- Commitment to clean code, well-architected systems, and continuous improvement.- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.- Technical achievements such as Kaggle competitions, hackathons, publications, or Olympiads are a plus.What is in it for youIt is like being at Top Gun, meanwhile getting a very competitive basic salary and unheard off OTE.
