As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing costs for infrastructure maintenance projects, ensuring financial efficiency and contractual compliance.Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipmentConduct on-site measurements and quantity take-offs to verify project progress and costsManage change control processes, including additional works notifications and purchase ordersAssist in the preparation and submission of subcontractor payment certificatesCollaborate with the finance team on internal and external forecasting and accrualsMaintain a database of accredited subcontractors and oversee the procurement strategyManage green claim income, liaising with legal representatives and loss adjusters when necessaryEnsure compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies related to commercial processesPrepare detailed reports on project costs, variances, and financial performanceSupport the Commercial Manager in achieving commercially driven objectives and monitoring key performance indicatorsPromote continuous improvement within the organization and implement effective corrective and preventive measuresAdvise colleagues from other departments on commercial issues relevant to their workEvaluate and control key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project efficiencyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is preferredMinimum of 8 years of experience in a similar capacityMinimum of HND in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalentMRICS, MCInstCES status or equivalent is highly desirablePRINCE2 Accreditation is a plusProven experience in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of main forms of contract, sub-contracts, and procurement optionsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, CCS)Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailExperience in implementing commercial management functions, processes, and proceduresFamiliarity with risk management processes and bidding proceduresKnowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAEFlexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
