Quantity Surveyor - KildareOur client is a well-established sub-contractor within the construction sector, recognised for delivering quality workmanship and long-term project success. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Kildare.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years’ experience to gain full exposure to all aspects of the business — from tendering and cost control to project delivery — working closely with senior management and contributing directly to the company’s commercial success.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation, submission, and negotiation of tenders and contract variationsMeasure and value work done on-site and prepare interim valuationsPrepare cost reports and monitor project budgets against actual costsLiaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost managementPrepare and submit monthly applications for payment and final accountsSupport the commercial team in procurement and subcontractor managementContribute to process improvements and the continuous development of commercial practices within the companyRequirementsDegree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline2–3 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry (sub-contracting experience advantageous)Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesProficient in MS Office and industry-standard measurement softwareSelf-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
