Quantity Surveyor

OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage and validate the financial and contractual aspects of event and exhibition projects. The role ensures accuracy in cost evaluation, compliance with contractual obligations, and transparency in vendor financial submissions. The ideal candidate will work closely with procurement, finance, and business teams to ensure value for money and effective cost control across all event-related activities.SALARY : 15,000-18,000 AEDResponsibilitiesCost Review & ValidationReview vendor cost submissions, BOQs, and invoices to ensure alignment with approved contracts, scope, and market benchmarks.Validate third-party quotations and vendor documentation for completeness and accuracy.Cross-check vendor invoices against deliverables, approved variations, and contractual terms.Cost Control & ComplianceTrack project costs against approved budgets and identify cost deviations or overruns.Verify that all payments and POs comply with contractual and documentation requirements.Ensure adherence to internal procurement and financial governance policies.Reporting & AnalysisPrepare cost validation reports, variance analyses, and deviation summaries.Maintain updated records of invoices, approvals, and PO tracking.Support post-event financial reporting, highlighting key variances and cost performance insights.Stakeholder CoordinationCollaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Business Units to resolve cost-related issues and invoice discrepancies.Support commercial bid evaluations during tenders, ensuring financial accuracy and value justification.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.4–6 years of experience in cost validation, contract administration, or commercial management, ideally within events, exhibitions, or fit-out sectors.Proficiency in MS Excel and cost tracking/reporting tools.Experience using ERP systems (Oracle, GRP, or equivalent).Strong understanding of contracts, BOQs, and industry pricing structures.
