You will participate in the construction of Data Centers, Logistics Centers, Advanced Manufacturing Plants, Cold Storage Warehouses for various sectors, and Battery Plants.For this vacancy, we are seeking to hire a Quantity Surveyor (Cost Manager – Technical Profile) with a very good level of English to participate in data center projects located in Madrid.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation specific to data center construction projects, including civil works, MEP, electrical, and IT infrastructure elements.Conduct thorough cost planning and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.Manage procurement processes, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.Monitor project costs against budget, track variations, and advise on cost control measures.Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate cost reporting and financial risk management.Prepare interim valuations and final accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolving cost disputes.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, material prices, and labour costs relevant to data center construction.Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs without compromising quality or schedule.Assist with contractual negotiations, claims, and dispute resolution where required.Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and quality standards on site.Qualifications & experienceDegree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or equivalent preferred.Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within data center, industrial, or large-scale technical infrastructure projects.Proven knowledge of data center construction specifics such as raised floors, cooling systems, power distribution, and structured cabling infrastructure.Proficient in cost estimating software (e.g., CostX, Trimble, etc.) and Microsoft Office.Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Willingness to travel to site locations as required.Benefits25 days of paid annual leave plus 8 UK public/bank holidays.Holiday Purchase Scheme to buy additional leave beyond the standard allowance.Flexible working options support work-life balance, including remote and hybrid working arrangements.Comprehensive parental leave policies covering maternity, paternity, shared parental, and carers’ leave.Dedicated menopause support and wellbeing resources to assist employees through life changes.Opportunities for professional development, including funded training and support for continuous professional growth.
