Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre Projects Location: Finland Contract: OngoingRate: Competitive Day RateStart: ASAP (flexible for the right candidate)We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client on a client-side basis, supporting major data centre projects based in Finland or willing to travel. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term programme of works within a fast-growing, high-value sector. The role offers a competitive day rate and ongoing contract security, with an immediate start available, though flexibility can be offered for the right candidate.Role OverviewAs a client-side Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management and cost control of large-scale data centre developments. You will work closely with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure strong financial governance, contract compliance, and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. This is a site-based position and prior on-site construction experience is essential. Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial oversight of data centre construction projectsCost planning, forecasting, and budget managementReviewing contractor valuations, variations, and change ordersContract administration and commercial risk managementManaging procurement processes and supporting tender evaluationsMonitoring project expenditure against approved budgetsPreparing and presenting commercial reports to senior stakeholdersLiaising with project managers, consultants, and contractorsRequirementsProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sectorStrong on-site project experience (essential)Previous client-side experience preferredData centre project experience is advantageousStrong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processesAbility to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel as requiredFluent English required (Finnish is beneficial but not essential)This is a strong opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor seeking a long-term contract within the expanding data centre market in Finland.
