We are looking at domains such MW and RF technologies, microfabrication and electronics, cryogenic systems, optics and photonics, vacuum technologies and electronics in general. Semiconductor engineers with deep experience in photolithography, interposers/packaging, laser-based fabrication such as selective laser etching and two-photon polymerization are also sought after.Job Description (Responsibilities):Prototyping and evaluating new quantum device componentsDeveloping control systems for quantum hardwareMaintaining experimental equipmentManaging clean room infrastructure and devicesRequired Qualifications:Practical experience in photolithography, interposer/package substrate design and fabrication.laser-based microfabrication with focus on laser selective etching, two-photon polymerizationHardware control engineers with rich experience in ARTIQ, FPGA, Laser sequence synchronization and control.UHV and cryogenic technologyElectronics engineersRequired skills:Experience in one or more of the following areas:Semiconductor microfabricationClean room operationsDesign and construction of laser optical systemsAnalog circuit design and implementationHands-on work with vacuum systemsDesign of integrated photonic waveguide circuitsFPGA circuit designPreferred Skills:Python programmingVerilog developmentExperience with cryogenic experiments using cryostatsMachining and weldingExperience filing patentsTeam or project management experienceExperience:Management experience appropriate to the level of the positionEducation:Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field (Master’s degree preferred)------------------------------------2nd Type: Software Engineer:Location:Qubitcore Okinawa R&D Center, OIC2-207, OIST Innovation Core 2Work style:Remote work is negotiable depending on responsibilities.Domestic and international travel may be required.Benefits:Full social insurance coverage (health, pension, employment, and workers’ compensation)Annual health checkupsDesign, implement and benchmark software stack that powers our ion trap quantum computers. You will work closely with researchers to develop prototypes and implement algorithms that support our quantum computing efforts.
