Job Description

LogisticsJob PurposeMeet and supply logistics demands. Support Logistics Manager. Develop and manage team membersReports ToLogistics ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

Analyse forecast and liaise with sales and operations teams on supply / demand issuesManage sales contracts – timing / coordinating product / credit limits and logisticsDevelop demand plans, interface on supply issuesHigh control of Inventory to ensure high efficienciesReact to market demand to ensure supply from tradersParticipate and lead logistics related projectsSupport and liaise with sales and operation team on order and supply managementPropose and investigate cost saving initiativesRegular status / communication reporting to customers / tradersEnsure that all logistics paperwork is accurate and produced in a timely mannerLiaise with suppliers to ensure timely supply of productLiaise with carriers to ensure there are sufficient trailers for loading on time every timeEnsure key business partners are updated on a daily basis with details on any supply issues that may ariseLiaise with Department of Agriculture to ensure Veterinary procedures are always upheldInvestigate new market opportunities, assuring approval & lifting barriers to trade in new countriesSupport Technical Manager in maintaining Quality Management SystemStock controlling and rotationCredit ControlAny other support as per business demandsBe a link between logistic co-ordinators and logistics managerTrain, develop and manage members of the logistics teamAny other support as per business demandsSkills / Qualifications / ExperienceMinimum 7 years logistics experience from high volume, fast moving and dynamic environmentExperience in the industry and logistics essentialPeople management skillsExcellent data entry, excel and outlook skills is a key requirementExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFlexibility and ability to manage changeNote:
