Workers' Compensation Regulatory Services has specific legislative and policy responsibilities prescribed under the Workers' Compensation & Rehabilitation Act 2003 which include regulating insurers, dispute resolution, providing rehabilitation and advisory services, accrediting rehabilitation and return to work programs and courses, promoting education about the workers' compensation scheme, recurring regulatory functions and implementing the government's policy and legislative agenda. As the regulator of workers' compensation in Queensland, we work with insurers, employers, workers, health & rehabilitation professionals to make sure all workers who have experienced a work-related injury are supported throughout their rehabilitation journey and can return to meaningful work safely.

As Executive Officer, you will provide high quality, confidential, efficient and effective executive support to the Executive Director in a complex and dynamic environment, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the office. Key Responsibilities IncludeFoster and maintain a strong relationship with the Executive Director and WCRS Leadership team on the Executive Director's and WCRS's behalf. Provide administration assistance to the Executive Director to support day to day activities, such as diary management, email management and travel bookings.

Act as the first point of contact for the Executive Director and develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders (both internal and external) to manage and resolve issues. Maneuver through the organisation to achieve outcomes through formal channels and informal networks. Prepare briefs, correspondence and undertake additional relevant tasks on behalf of the Executive Director as required to assist with the effective operation of the Directorate. Monitor budgets, payroll, establishment and leave reports, completing and/or checking resourcing requests, and liaise with OIR Human Resources in regard to specific HR or resourcing matters as required.

Provide quality advice with regards to workforce, financial, correspondence, reporting and general administrative services to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Quality assure all material presented to the Executive Director to ensure departmental standards are met. Work with a high degree of autonomy using initiative and judgement to resolve immediate problems. Deal professionally with sensitive and confidential issues that arise. Participate as a member of the team, provide high levels of customer service to both internal and external clients, and contribute effectively to the achievement of Directorate outcomes.

At the request of the Executive Director, provide executive support to the WCRS Directors including co-ordinating event facilities, travel management, administration and records management.
