About The RoleAs the Manager, you will lead delivery of initiatives to strengthen respectful relationships education (RRE) in Queensland state schools, including development of training materials. Lead the way in creating inclusive, engaging learning environments that promote a culture of belonging, respect and gender equality as Manager in Respectful Relationships Education (RRE).
In this pivotal role you'll shape state-wide initiatives involved in strengthening the delivery of RRE as a whole school approach to improve student engagement and belonging. Key Functions Of This Role IncludeLeading the development and implementation of RRE professional development initiatives for Queensland state schools' staff aligned to priorities detailed in the Queensland's Plan for the Primary Prevention of Violence Against Women 2024-2028, and the Fourth Action Plan of the Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Strategy 2022-2023 to 2025-26. Providing high level advice for senior officers to shape policies and procedures that address key issues.
Applying expert knowledge of effective RRE to the design, development, and quality assurance of training materials aligned to the curriculum in K-12, Our Watch's RRE Blueprint, Australian Professional Standards, adult learning design principles and model use of departmental resources. Mentoring and inspiring a multidisciplinary team working across regions, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Continuously monitoring, evaluating, reporting on and refining activities using data collection tools and mechanisms. About YouThe ideal applicants are individuals who demonstrate:
Comprehensive knowledge of Respectful Relationship Education, Australian Curriculum Version 9 (particularly Health and Physical Education), K-12 Curriculum, assessment and reporting framework, and systemic priorities of RRE, curriculum implementation, and effective pedagogical practices. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and implement state-wide initiatives. A proactive approach to navigate a dynamic environment, respond quickly to changing demands and priorities, and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
