Your OpportunityAs the Manager, Executive Services you will provide leadership to the executive support team and provide high level executive support to the General Manager, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction of TAFE Queensland, Brisbane Region as a commercial business. This is a temporary full-time opportunity for three years unless otherwise determined and reports directly to the General Manager, TAFE Queensland Brisbane region.

The position will be based primarily at South Brisbane campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage TAFE Queensland Brisbane’s executive support team, prioritising tasks and managing time commitments to effectively and efficiently meet objectives for and on behalf of the General Manager, Executive Director Business, Innovation and Commercialisation, Executice Director Education and Training and Director People and Culture. . Provide high quality executive support to the General Manager in relation to administrative, human resource, financial, governance, policy and operational matters.

Act as the General Manager’s representative by ensuring that significant issues or events, often of a sensitive, confidential nature, are managed effectively, determining the extent to which matters should be escalated and drawing on the most suitable resources required to achieve appropriate outcomes Provide confidential and strategic policy advice, analysis and resolution of complex TAFE related issues to the General Manager and ccontribute to the achievement of the region’s policy framework. Undertake research, formulate recommendations, coordinate and prepare correspondence and briefing papers in response to Ministerial, Departmental and client requests and complaints.

Establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with a broad range of internal and external clients and stakeholders including business, industry and the community at a strategic and operational level. Provide a comprehensive range of executive services to the region’s General Manager including the coordination and preparation of meeting papers, minutes and reports.

Proactively develop, implement and manage executive business systems, processes, procedures and guidelines to support the effective and efficient functioning of Executive Services Team Manage, develop, mentor and support the members of the Executive Services Team to ensure high level continuous service provision to the organisation. Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions and ensure day to day activities align with business operations. Promote and model TAFE Queensland’s values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative. Participate in other projects as required.

How You Will Be AssessedThe ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities: Demonstrated high level experience working with and supporting an Exeuctive level position through the provision of advice and support on a broad range of business requirements. Demonstarted leadership and team management skills that have resulted in the achievement of successful business outcomes. Demonstrated high level communication skills and the ability to sustain productive relationships and work collaboratively with Ministerial and high level Departmental or Industry stakeholders.

A proven track record in leading a small team of professional executive support staff to provide continuous services to a group of senior level managers in a large organisation Demonstrated commitment to the values of the organisation through modelling behaviours and the provision of outstanding client service.
