As Manager you will lead and manage the Tourism Investment Attraction and Facilitation Team to promote and facilitate private investment into the revitalisation of existing tourism assets and the creation of new tourism infrastructure across the state, in particular priority areas including accommodation and built attractions as outlined in the Towards Tourism 2032 Strategy and long-term vision set out in the Destination 2045 plan. As The Manager, Investment Attraction And Facilitation, You Will Lead and support the implementation of strategies and lead generation initiatives to attract investment into Queensland tourism infrastructure projects including shortterm accommodation, island resorts and built attractions.
Identify and qualify potential tourism infrastructure investment opportunities throughout Queensland and potential investors and work to foster favourable investment outcomes which support increased product supply, employment and Total Visitor Expenditure. Highlight Queensland as a tourism investment destination through development of investment collateral and development of tourism investment events and initiatives globally including coordination of inbound and outbound investment missions to attract investment into Queensland tourism infrastructure projects. Establish and maintain tourism investment stakeholder relationships and networks which contribute to successful lead generation and investment outcomes.
Contribute to the development of initiatives, to support new and renewed investment, and lift industry capability in the tourism industry, ensuring whole-ofdepartment and government priorities are met. Undertake and co-ordinate research, analysis and review of tourism product development, business and industry development, investment trends and other strategic issues. Build and manage positive, collaborative working relationships and partnerships with colleagues and with other levels of government, industry and business associations, including Indigenous businesses and Traditional Owner groups to achieve program and project outcomes, deliver on Government commitments and facilitate interactions with all levels of government.
Represent the department and Government at a range of national, state and regional forums that require a content specific perspective to enhance Queensland's economic competitiveness and performance in relation to tourism industry development and investment. Provide timely, high-level briefings, submissions, reports, correspondence, and presentations on a range of tourism policy and program issues to Senior Management, the Minister, other government agencies and key stakeholders. Effectively manage change, people, financial and physical resources, underpinned by a culture of client service, continuous improvement according to the Queensland Government Public Service Values and the Reframing the Relationship Plan.
