Job Description

Commencing 10 January 2026, the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Project Officer to join the Senior Assessment and Certification Support Branch, on a permanent, full-time basis. The Senior Assessment and Certification Support Branch is responsible for activities that contribute to the development, review and implementation of guidelines to support the quality assurance processes for the QCE, QCIA, Recognition and VET.

What you will doIn The Principal Project Officer Role, You WillLead and participate in teams to develop professional learning and development resources to support the implementation of the QCELead and participate in teams of internal QCAA staff and casual assessors to develop, maintain and improve quality assurance processes for internal assessmentUse data to inform the design and development of training programs, workshops, seminars and support materials that assist schools to interpret policies and procedures relating to senior assessment and quality assuranceProvide expert advice to Managers and Directors in the Curriculum Services Division and the Assessment, Reporting and ICT Division on matters related to the implementation of senior assessment programsManage and deliver business priorities within designated timelines and using allocated resourcesLiaise with Learning Area Unit officers to develop training resources and enact quality assurance activities consistently and in accordance with policies and procedures and to identify, prioritise and support schools requiring additional assistanceLiaise with government and non-government educational agencies on assigned projectsMaintain currency with new developments in assessment design, academic integrity, artificial intelligence and quality management systems to provide leadership to schools in assessmentCreate and maintain professional relationships between the QCAA and key stakeholdersLead forums, workshops and stakeholder engagement activitiesPrepare briefings, correspondence and reportsWhat we are looking forThe QCAA is committed to selecting the person best suited to the role and to furthering equity and diversity.
