The RoleThe purpose of this position is to contribute to the delivery of Water Resource Management's Regulatory Strategy which will include the development of supporting operational policies, processes, systems and tools.
This position is based within Regulatory Operational Support and partners with policy and regional service delivery, Dam Safety and Water Supply Regulation, as well as other government agencies to deliver best practice approaches and tools to support the Water Resource Management's Regulatory Strategy. Key Duties And Accountabilities Manage projects to plan and implement the Water Resource Management Regulatory Strategy and the Annual Compliance Plan. Liaise, consult, and foster effective networks with team members, other departmental work units, regions, government agencies and industry and business associations to deliver priority project outputs as directed.
Develop and implement compliance guidance, procedures and templates to support the implementation of the Queensland Non-Urban Water Measurement Policy and the regulatory response taken under the department's regulatory strategy. Prepare business cases, reports, submissions, briefings, and correspondence. Represent the department on interdepartmental and interagency committees and forums. This position is available at the following locations: Brisbane preferred. Other DLGWV offices will be considered: Ayr, Bundaberg, Caboolture, Cairns, Gatton, Goondiwindi, Gympie, Longreach, Mackay, Mareeba, Rockhampton, South Johnstone, St George, Toowoomba, Townsville, Warwick will also be considered.
