Job Description

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next opportunity?We're looking for a finance professional to provide high level specialised financial and business services, reporting and procurement advice to support informed decision-making. Your role will also contribute to ongoing business improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives and coordinate audit and risk activities.

To Be Successful In This Role You WillWork closely with the Manager - Finance to develop EWOQ's annual budget, guidelines and associated funding modelsContribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of frameworks, systems and processes to support effective financial governance, including reviewing and maintaining EWOQ's financial management practice manual (FMPM)Perform a range of financial tasks including:

Preparation of accruals and other journals including general ledger review and corrections as requiredContribute to the preparation and finalisation of the annual financial statement processAssist in preparation of budget forecasts and monitoring financial performance including cost centre and budget variance analysisEnsure accurate and timely financial processing across a range of transactions including preparing revenue invoices and adjustment notes, and processing invoices for paymentEnsure debtor lifecycle is undertaken in accordance with pricing models, guidelines and relevant legislationProvide financial analysis and support for preparation of business cases and provide analysis and recommendations to improve financial outcomesProvide support and advice to internal stakeholders on procurement processes to ensure compliance with State Procurement Policy and EWOQ procedures.

Manage the recording and reporting of assets including coordinating the annual stocktakeMonitor financial and performance obligations of contracts with external providers including lease arrangements across EWOQ's three locationsParticipate in the development and review of the internal audit strategic plan and act as a liaison for internal and external auditorsContribute to the development of business planning risk assessments and identification and mitigation of risks and issuesHelp foster a productive and positive workplace culture through behaviour and concrete actions and demonstrate the values and priorities of EWOQ in everyday workAPPLICANTS ARE REQUESTED TO APPLY ONLINE – scroll down and click the ‘APPLY ONLINE' button.
