Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Coordinator to support employees in Algeria (and possibly later other countries in MEA-region). This role requires a hands-on approach to managing the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to offboarding, ensuring payroll accuracy, advising managers, and implementing global HR initiatives. The HR Coordinator will act as a bridge between employees and the global People & Culture team, ensuring smooth and compliant HR operations while fostering a strong remote working culture. You would report to Country Director and in matrix to Director, People & Culture.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contract administration, and exit proceduresEnsure compliance with local labor laws and company policies in AlgeriaAdminister payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirementsProvide HR support to employees and managers on employment-related matters, policies, and best practicesImplement and adapt global HR tools and processes to fit local needs, including talent management, performance reviews, and employee development programsAddress and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and disputes professionally and in compliance with labor lawsMaintain and update HR documentation, records, and contractsFacilitate employee engagement and well-being initiatives to strengthen remote team cohesionOrganize and oversee site-specific administrative tasks, including office events and vendor managementServe as the local HR point of contact while coordinating with the global People & Culture teamQualifications & CompetenciesBachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldProven experience in HR coordination, payroll administration, and employee relationsStrong knowledge of labor laws and HR regulations in AlgeriaProficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with payroll systems is beneficial. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees and management. High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information. Ability to foster a strong remote working culture and engage employees across multiple locations.
