R&D Cybersecurity Software Engineer

As an R&D Cybersecurity Software Engineer, you develop, design and test software for complex, technical applications in different high-tech domains.In this role, you contribute to solutions for clients in telecom, industrial automation, video/audio processing, and IoT. You will be involved in all phases of the development process – from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and documentation. Thanks to long-term projects, you will have the opportunity to dive deep and work with cutting-edge technology.What excites you as a R&D Cybersecurity Software Engineer?Based from one of our offices in Belgium and in average 3 days per week at our clients' office you like to keep yourself busy with:Designing and documenting secure embedded software solutions.Implementing and monitoring cybersecurity measures within the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).Performing code reviews, static and dynamic vulnerability analyses.Translating NIS2 and CRA requirements into concrete policies and controls.Developing security risk assessments and threat models.Keeping up to date with cybersecurity trends and legislation.Participating in product certifications and audits related to IEC 62443.Providing input for incident response plans and security testing.Setting up automated security tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.Sounds good so far? We'd love to tell you more…This is what you bring to the tableMaster degree in IT security, computer science or a related fieldAt least 3 years of experience with C/C++ and cybersecurity, preferably in an industrial or embedded contextKnowledge of NIS2, CRA and IEC 62443 standardsFamiliarity with embedded Linux and/or RTOS environmentsStrong knowledge of cryptography, security protocols and authenticationExperience with vulnerability analysis and penetration testing toolsProblem-solving skills for complex software and security issuesSpeak Dutch (or willing to learn) or English fluentlyThis is what you can expect in returnAn indefinite contract with a stable employer in full growth.A competitive salary complemented with additional benefits (company car with fuel card, group insurance, hospitalization insurance, expense allowance, meal vouchers).Personal coaching and a generous training budget of €6,000 per year, enabling you to continuously develop yourself.
