Job DescriptionResponsbilitiesParticipate or organize in project group, take technical analysis for market and customer demands, and complete feasibility analysis.Participate in technology decision, providing sufficient technical specifications.In charge of design, fabrication and testing in procedure of product development.Lead or participate in the development of supply chain for new projects, formulate the quality standards and test methods for raw materials.Lead or participate to set up pilot production line of new products.Project schedule management, Feed back to the customer accurately and timely.Assist in solving technical and quality problems in the production process after the transfer.Pay attention to market dynamics, technology updates, customer needs, cost requirements, and continue to improve.RequirementsPhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Opto-Electronic, Laser-Electronic, Optical system, or related field.2+ years of hands-on RD experience in electronics design & development for laser system, photonic devices, optical system or related Expertise in analog/digital circuit design for laser applications (e.g., TEC controllers, pulsed laser drivers, photodetector interfaces) Proficiency in FPGA programming (Xilinx, Altera) and microcontroller-based systems (ARM, PIC).Hands-on experience with PCB fabrication, soldering, and testing (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, Ethernet) and IoT-enabled laser systemsFamiliar with optical components (e.g., mirrors, lenses, gratings) and characterization tools (spectrometers, power meters, beam profilers)Proficient in experimental and laboratory skills, such as data collection and analysis, technical document writing, and presentation skills.Proficient in English writing and speaking.Culture CommitmentEnsure adherence to company’s values (ICARE) in all aspects of your position at Coherent Corp.:Integrity – Create an Environment of TrustCollaboration – Innovate Through the Sharing of IdeasAccountability – Own the Process and the OutcomeRespect – Recognize the Value in EveryoneEnthusiasm – Find a Sense of Purpose in WorkAbout UsCoherent is a global leader in lasers, engineered materials and networking components.
