What You’ll DoPerform scheduled and corrective maintenance on radar, satellite communication, and electronic test equipment.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electronic systems and components.Execute retrofit installations of satellite communication components, including replacing RF/IF equipment, transceivers, LNAs, and SSPAs.Conduct verification procedures to ensure compliance with Implementation Instructions.Update site documentation, including drawings, audit records, and equipment modifications.Interface with Logistics Support System (LSS) staff and the North Warning System Command Centre (NWSCC) to coordinate authorizations and activities.Maintain a clean and organized work area, package waste for disposal, and prepare equipment for return to the Logistics Depot.Perform unplanned or transient duties as assigned by supervisory staff.Collaborate with colleagues at radar sites and support centers to ensure smooth operations.Follow safety standards and contribute to maintaining a safe and respectful working environment.Must be able and willing to deploy and travel to all Long Range Radar (LRR) and Short Range Radar (SRR) sites upon operational requirements.Who You Are Certificates/Licenses: Electronics Technician Diploma from a recognized institution or Canadian military equivalent. Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on field experience maintaining electronic systems. Proficiency with general electronic test and repair equipment. Extensive internal training program provided. Skills: Expertise in data communications, satellite communication systems, and video monitoring systems. Proficient with tools and equipment, including spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, reference generators, and BER test units. Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel. Cross-Cultural Skills: Must be willing and able to work in a cross-cultural environment while supporting Nasittuq’s mission and commitment to Inuit employment. Remote Operations: Ability to work under physically demanding and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a Fall Arrest Harness, as requiredAbility to work effectively in remote northern conditions and live in remote camp environmentsAbility to commit to working rotational shifts on a consistent basisExperience working in a remote camp setting with limited access to resources is an asset.Why Join Us?Rotation & Overtime: 6 weeks in/6 weeks out rotation, 48 hours per week, with overtime paid at 1.5x base rate.
