Our mission is simple but essential: to deliver safe, clean water and reliable wastewater service to the communities of Rainbow, Bonsall, and parts of Vista, Oceanside, and Fallbrook. Position: Utility Worker (Construction Department)Only one opening available!Hiring as a Utility Worker I or II, starting pay depending on your experience and qualifications. Applicants with similar work experience and Distribution certifications will start above the minimum pay range. Pay Ranges Utility Worker I – $29. 07/hour to $42. 16/hour Utility Worker II – $33. 44/hour to $48.

From service lines to hydrants, you’ll install and repair the physical infrastructure of our water system. Operate the heavy hitters. Think dump trucks, backhoes, and trenchers, this job is hands-on and equipment-heavy. Tidy up. Prep and clean up job sites, maintain equipment, and keep tools in top shape. Stay safe and help others do the same.

Traffic control and site safety are always part of the gig. Weld it right. Got AWS D1. 1 certification? You’ll be our go-to for pipeline and equipment welding. Bonus if you’ve taken coursework in Water Distribution. Experience: At least 2 years of relevant construction experience required. We are looking for hands-on experience with activities like operating heavy equipment, working with hand tools, welding, hand digging, and doing physical work outside all day, in all kinds of weather. Certifications: D1 Water Distribution Certificate preferred (required within 6 months of hire)Class A CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements preferredAWS D1.
