The successful candidate will be based at Montclair Resort and ConferenceThe position reports to the Head Chef. ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares a wide variety of pastries such as cakes, cookies, pies and breadCreates new and exciting desserts to renew existing menus and engage the interest of customersMaintains up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredientsAble to develop, design, or create new ideas and items for Pastry KitchenDecorates and presents pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and attractive wayMonitors stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar and make appropriate orders within budget. Ensures quality of baked products meets established standardsEnsures compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety Standards. PERSON SPECIFICATION National Certificate in Professional Cookery.
