Job DescriptionRamboll Transport is building our transport and infrastructure large projects division through our Transport Major Projects Spearhead. The roleWe are in the market to find a Project Director who is capable of bringing the best of their decades of experience into our organisation for the leadership of major projects as a Project Director. The role will be to work with Engineers, Owners and Contractors in the consulting and engineering space for both Client side and Design and Build/Alliance projects.

The title of Project Director is a position within Ramboll anchored in the Transport market within the Spearhead – Major Projects. You will be asked for your experience, passion, perspective, energy, enthusiasm and connections to help us in our evolution journey. As our Major Projects - Director you will be given a broad mandate to support existing and future engineering and design projects, key Transport initiatives and include in your workload the development of future opportunities and the wider transport market.

You will be part of the Major Projects Spearhead with teams in Finland, Denmark and the UK delivering some of the most complex projects on the market. Within Ramboll you will work closely with our design colleagues in other departments and geographies. Ramboll’s project teams work collectively on the large projects bringing the best of international and local knowledge together to execute successful projects. The role is to be based in either Copenhagen or London. Short term international travel is to be expected as is reasonable with a senior position of this nature. Your key responsibilities will be:

Major Project delivery and oversight Major Project portfolio managementWorking with top management and corporate stakeholders for the development of the Transport market Project and commercial management of key projectsTo inspire, motivate and engage with our employees, partners and customers through inclusive leadership, and with natural drive and curiosityCollaborating with leaders across the company to support strong collaboration and ensure resource allocation for the benefit of our employees and clients' projectsActive participation in innovation, automation and digitalization within our existing and future service areasAbout our ideal candidate:

Strong demonstratable and international experience with roles held in senior positions for engineering, design, Owner and Contractors working on major infrastructure and transport projectsHas civil infrastructure experience with a focus on bored tunnel, metro, rail projects, with major road schemes being of interestVery good communication skills in written and spoken English with language skills in Danish or German as viewed positivelyM. Sc. in Engineering disciplineAffiliation and memberships with professional bodies such as the Institution of Civil Engineers, British Tunnelling Society, ITA and similar recognised within the industryWhat we can offer the candidate:
