Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior to Mid-Level Banking/Generalist Lawyer, fluent in English and qualified to practise in England, to join the legal team at our client's operational headquarters in Tessin (Lugano). Key ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Group General Counsel, your main duties will include:

Supporting internal clients in drafting and negotiating international contracts related to the sale or purchase of goods;Managing claims, disputes, and arbitration processes;Preparing and negotiating standard agreements such as NDAs, engagement letters, consulting, and agency contracts;Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to maintain and update the Group’s policies;Providing practical and timely legal advice to internal departments including finance, audit, banking, risk, compliance, and HR;Assisting the legal team with a variety of banking, trade finance, and M&A transactions;Contributing to operational efficiency by developing and maintaining standard contract templates.

Key Requirements & SkillsTo succeed in this role, candidates should have: A law degree and bar admission, ideally from a common law or mixed common/civil law jurisdiction; admission to practise in England is required; Between newly qualified and 2 years of post-qualification experience;Native-level English proficiency; knowledge of Italian is a strong advantage; Proficiency in office software and legal operations tools.
