The ideal candidate will develop new business models and enhance existing service operations. The Head of Services Business Development is responsible for supporting the growth of Raute’s global services business. Operating within a matrix organization, this role plays a critical part in aligning service development strategies across the Services Business Unit, its business lines, and in close collaboration with Raute’s two other Business Units, Wood Processing and Analyzers Business. This role ensures that customer-centric, scalable, and profitable service offerings are developed and successfully brought to market.
The Head of Services Business Development will report to Kurt Bossuyt, EVP, Services. In this role youWork closely with Services Business Line Managers, the technology team, and the sales team to support the transformation toward outcome-based services and innovative business models. Structure and review tiered service agreement models, clearly defining scope, deliverables, SLAs, and pricing strategies. Develop and maintain tools and materials to support the commercial organization, including service sales content, value propositions, and customer engagement collateral. Update and improve service sales processes, workflows, and tools to align with best practices and evolving business needs.
Support the development of pricing strategies, including value-based pricing, cost modelling, and profitability analysis. Gather and analyse customer feedback and market intelligence to continuously refine service offerings and commercial approaches. Collaborate with service delivery, sales, finance, and marketing teams to ensure the service portfolio is aligned with customer needs and Raute’s strategic goals. Perform other duties as assigned to support the continuous development and success of Raute’s Services Business. In this role, travel time of 30 % is required.
To succeed in this role, it is ideal that you haveMaster's degree in business development or relevant technical degree+ 5 years of experience in service business development role, ideally in an industrial, manufacturing, or technology-driven sectorStrong understanding of novel service business modelsKnowledge and passion for value selling and customer-centric sales approachesHands-on, proactive, and execution-oriented working style.
