About The RoleAre you an experienced Class 4 Driver with a passion for environmental sustainability? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in as a Class 4 Dangerous Goods Driver/Operator in Christchurch. This role is responsible for dosing effluent ponds to reduce on-farm methane emissions, contributing to a greener future. Key ResponsibilitiesDriving and transport - safely transport and handle dangerous goods in compliance with regulations. Dosing operations - accurately dose effluent ponds to reduce methane emissions. Equipment Maintenance - perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles and dosing equipment.
Safety Compliance - adhere to safety regulations and maintain accurate records. Customer Engagement - notify and engage with customers/farmers during treatment services as necessary. Team Collaboration - Collaborate with team members to achieve organisational and environmental goals About YouThe role involves lifting heavy objects (hoses and couplings), climbing, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Candidates should be comfortable working in close proximity to effluent ponds and be prepared for exposure to outdoor conditions and potentially hazardous materials. The use of personal protective equipment is required to ensure safety.
Ideal Skills & ExperienceWe are looking for candidates with previous experience as a Class 4 driver, preferably with your Dangerous Goods certificate. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are crucial for this role.
