Raw Materials Buyer – Spices Position Overview:We are a leading company in the food and flavoring industry, currently seeking a Raw Materials Buyer to join our procurement team. This role focuses exclusively on the local sourcing of spices such as chili, oregano, garlic, onion, pepper, among others, from producers, intermediaries, and suppliers.We are looking for a technically skilled professional with strong negotiation abilities, SAP experience, and fluent English for internal reporting and communication.Key Responsibilities:Execute purchasing strategies for raw materials within the local marketNegotiate prices, contracts, and purchasing terms with local producers and vendorsVisit growing regions to evaluate crops, harvesting processes, and agricultural practicesEnsure quality, traceability, and compliance with product specificationsManage purchase orders and transactions through SAP (MM module)Monitor pricing trends, crop seasonality, and potential supply risksCollaborate with the quality, logistics, and planning teams to ensure efficient deliveriesGenerate procurement reports and supplier performance analysisRequirements:Candidate Profile:Minimum 5 years of experience in domestic agricultural raw material purchasingStrong knowledge of classification, quality standards, seasonality, and storage of spicesBachelor’s degree preferred in Agronomy, Agribusiness, or related fieldsFluent in English (written and reading) for reports and internal communicationProficient in SAP and ExcelStrong negotiation, field knowledge, and results-oriented mindsetWe Offer:Competitive base salary based on experienceLegal benefits and additional perksCareer development in a stable and technically focused organizationOngoing training and exposure to cross-functional teamsOpportunity to directly impact product quality through sourcing decisions
