Based in north Dublin, the Technology team is driving digital transformation across complex operational environments, developing mobile applications that enhance user experience and improve the efficiency of day-to-day operations.About the PositionYou’ll be joining a digital innovation team dedicated to building modern, scalable mobile applications that improve both customer and operational experiences. As a Mobile Software Developer, you’ll design and develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, collaborating closely with designers, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality products across iOS and Android platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications using react Native that provide a seamless user experience across iOS and Android platforms.Collaborate with designers and business stakeholders to implement quality interfaces optimised for mobile devices.Write clean, maintainable, efficient code ensuring best practices in mobile development are followed.Help create and Integrate API’s and third-party services.Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality.Work closely with cross functional teams including designers, developers and business stakeholders.Participate in agile ceremonies such as planning, standups and retrospectives.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Communicate effectively with stake holders and business units to better understand the need and ensure its being met through technical specifications.Create and maintain technical documentation for web applications, including setup, guides and API documentation.Experience/Requirements3+ years building cross-platform React Native mobile applicationsExperience with iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Java/Kotlin) fundamentalsProven track record publishing apps to Apple App Store and Google Play StoreStrong experience consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpointsExperience integrating payment processors, analytics, push notifications, and social media SDKsProficiency with Redux, Context API, or similar state management solutionsKnowledge of app performance optimization and debugging toolsExperience with app analytics and crash reporting toolsKnowledge of mobile security best practicesPrevious experience with app store optimization (ASO)Unit testing and integration testing experience (Jest, Detox, or similar)Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive designUnderstanding of mobile device capabilities (camera, GPS, sensors, etc.)JavaScript/TypeScript proficiencyExperience with native bridge communication between React Native and native codeFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile app deploymentGit workflow experience with branching, merging, and pull requestsBackground in Agile/Scrum development methodologiesThis role may request working some additional hours or weekends if required to support the critical phases of project.
