Job Description:We are seeking a mid-level Real Estate Finance Associate with a minimum of 4–6 years of experience to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing institutional lenders in complex real estate finance transactions. Experience with commercial leasing and general commercial real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures) is highly desirable.Key Responsibilities:Represent banks, debt funds, and other institutional lenders in real estate finance transactions, including:Mortgage and mezzanine loansConstruction financingLoan modifications and workoutsDraft, negotiate, and review loan documents, intercreditor agreements, and related finance documentationReview and analysis of due diligence, title/survey review, and participation in closingsCoordinate with internal teams, clients, and third parties (title companies, surveyors, lenders, etc.) throughout transaction life cyclesCoordinate with internal teams, clients, and third parties (title companies, surveyors, lenders, etc.) throughout transaction life cyclesManage closings from start to finish with limited supervisionWork directly with clients and participate in strategy discussions and deal structuringHandling commercial leasing matters, including drafting and negotiating leases for office, retail, and industrial spacesHandling acquisitions, dispositions, and joint venture transactions, including drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, JV agreements, and ancillary documentsMaintain awareness of legal developments and market trends affecting real estate finance and leasingQualifications:J.D. from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice in New Yorka minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal departmentStrong knowledge of real estate finance laws and practices, as well as market standardsExperience handling commercial leasing and commercial real estate transactionsExcellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detailAble to manage multiple transactions and deadlines independentlySalary Range: $150-$300KPreferred Skills:Experience with syndicated loan structures, intercreditor and co-lender agreementsExposure to ground leases, sale-leasebacks, and mixed-use developmentsFamiliarity with REITs, opportunity zones, or tax-advantaged structures is a plus
