Job PurposeAbout the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Purchasing Specialist to manage the direct purchasing processes for our pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure an uninterrupted supply of high quality materials essential to our manufacturing process. This role requires a professional who can balance strategic and operational responsibilities, ensuring compliance with company standards and sustainability initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesLead the direct purchasing process for raw and packaging materials , ensuring quality and cost-effectivenessDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support procurement and business objectivesAnalyse market trends and perform supplier scouting to identify and qualify new suppliersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet internal customer requirementsImplement strategic purchasing initiatives aligned with the company’s goals for sustainability and risk managementMonitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring adherence to service agreements and quality standardsConduct data analysis to support decision-making and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
