The position aims to strengthen Swinburne’s presence, drive student recruitment, and build long-term partnerships within the Sri Lankan higher education ecosystem.The candidate will work closely with Swinburne’s International Office and Acumen’s South Asia team to implement recruitment strategies, deliver outreach and conversion activities, and enhance brand visibility in the region.The post-holder will engage directly with students, parents, counsellors, education agents, and institutional partners. The position requires flexibility to travel domestically and work occasionally during evenings or weekends for events. As the role involves regular virtual coordination with university teams and stakeholders across time zones, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised, and proactive.Main ResponsibilitiesGrow Swinburne’s student recruitment, delivering activities within budget and on timeAchieve annual recruitment targets set by Swinburne.Deploy all available tools and initiatives (e.g., scholarships, GS processes) to support conversion and enrolment.Ensure all activities are executed within the approved budget and timeline.Manage and enhance relationships with key stakeholdersBuild and maintain strong relationships with Swinburne representatives, education agents, schools, and partner institutions.Collaborate closely with Swinburne’s International Office to align recruitment goals and strategies.Represent Swinburne at education fairs, promotional events, and networking activities across Sri Lanka.Support conversion and applicant managementProvide accurate guidance and counselling to prospective students on Swinburne’s programs, entry requirements, and application processes.Follow up with prospective students and applicants to ensure timely conversion from enquiry to enrolment.Coordinate with agents and schools to support application submissions and resolve student queries efficiently.Market intelligence and reportingMonitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and student preferences in Sri Lanka.Submit regular activity updates and reports to Swinburne and Acumen management.Recommend new initiatives or approaches to strengthen recruitment performance and market positioning.Compliance and brand representationEnsure that all recruitment and promotional activities adhere to Swinburne’s brand, messaging, and compliance standards.Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all student and stakeholder interactions.Information and ReportingDevelop and maintain a key contacts list and share periodic reports with Swinburne and Acumen.Record information from events and campaigns accurately.Maintain time-sheets and submit reports as required.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).A qualification from Australia or familiarity with the Australian education system would be an advantage.Experience3–6 years of experience in international student recruitment, preferably for Australian universities.Prior experience working with education agents, institutions, or within the higher education sector.Exposure to developing and executing marketing or recruitment campaigns.Overseas study or living experience (preferably Australia) would be desirable.Knowledge, Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of the higher education landscape and international student mobility trends.Excellent communication, counselling, and presentation skills.Proven relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and digital communication tools.Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, as required.About AcumenAcumen (part of the Sannam S4 Group) partners with leading global universities to support their internationalisation objectives through in-country representation, market research, and strategic engagement.
