Our client who provides Freight forwarding & logistics services require an experienced General Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Finance/ Operations, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s logistics and transport operations to ensure efficiency, profitability and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive business strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives. Design and deliver training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge. Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, vendors, and business partners. Set clear performance targets, conduct regular appraisals, and provide constructive feedback.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasting revenue and expenses accurately. Monitor the implementation of strategies and make adjustments to improve performance and profitability. Monitor client feedback and implement improvements to service delivery based on client needs. Monitor financial performance regularly by reviewing reports, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. Oversee all daily logistics and transport operations to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of services. Ensure compliance with local and international transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Lead recruitment efforts to build a competent and motivated team.

Requirements Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field. Must have at least five (5) years of working experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting or a related field. Must have proven experience in both Accounting and Supply Chain Management. Possess strong organizational skills and analytical abilities. Possess excellent communication (verbal and written) skills. Must possess strong people management skills and leadership skills. Experience in financial management and managing budgets. Must possess excellent communication skills ( written and oral).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
