Join our team of People-Focused Problem Solvers and build a career where your contributions truly make a difference!What we offer: $50.11.–$55.46/hour (including pension, based on classification), comprehensive medical/dental coverage, and paid vacation as per the Collective Agreement.Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the Red Seal Field Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of equipment in a safe, effective, accurate and timely manner.Key Responsibilities:Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair equipmentUtilize OEM diagnosis software and interface tools to repair Doosan Heavy Equipment, Tree Equipment, Bobcat excavators/loaders, Ecoverse, Universal and a variety of material handling OEM’s or others as assigned by your supervisor or directed by the companyWork closely with the OEM Technical support groupInterpret work orders and technical manualsPerform routine scheduled, planned maintenance services and safety inspectionsContinually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standardsRoad test equipment and check attachment operation as requiredMake recommendations regarding the extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvementBuild and maintain customer relationships while at worksite and through Service AdvisorsComplete detailed service reports, timecards, warranty documentation and other documentationEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality of repairsThink logically and keep up with changes in technologyEmploy workplace health and safety practices at all timesProtect all company assets while in use from damage or theft and complete regular service truck cleaning, organization and servicingBe motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervisionOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment as outlined aboveExcellent diagnostic skillsSelf-motivated and can work with minimal supervisionSuperb customer service skillsTeam OrientedTraining, Education and Experience:Red Seal Certified Heavy Duty Technician or equivalent. Experience in Electrical systems and Electronic ControlsExperience in Diesel engine service, repair and overhaulThorough knowledge and experience trouble shooting and repairing of Hydraulic Componentry and Systems, Hydrostatic Drives, Automatic, Power shift and Standard Transmissions, and driveline componentryValid Driver’s license with clean driver’s abstractWelding experience as assetValues:Build trust – with customers and each otherBe a team player – commit to working together to winBe customer-focused – “wow” customers so they become raving fansSupport community – care for our people, our community and our planetDeliver results – know what you need to do and get it doneWorking Conditions: The Field Service Technician is based out of the Abbotsford branch and works 40 hours on average per week Monday to Friday.
