Traditional / Open Market Trade LeadLocation: Yaba, LagosEmployment Type: Full-timeJob DescriptionThe Traditional / Open Market Trade Lead will lead the execution of ReelFruit’s traditional trade strategy within Lagos. The role is responsible for managing a field sales team, driving customer acquisition, increasing market share, and ensuring execution excellence in open markets and traditional trade accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience navigating Lagos’ diverse retail landscape. ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Management:

Supervise and mentor merchandisers and supervisorsSet team targets and KPIs, provide regular feedback and coachingMonitor performance and drive accountabilitySales Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and implement trade-specific sales strategiesAlign sales initiatives with the company’s commercial goalsConduct ongoing market intelligence and competitive analysisCustomer Relationship ManagementBuild and nurture relationships with existing clients and key partnersEnsure excellent post-sales engagement and satisfactionOversee the effective management of key distributor and trade accountsSales Reporting & AnalysisAnalyze data to inform decisions and improve executionProvide timely market insights and actionable sales reportsForecast and project market trends in collaboration with leadershipLead Generation & QualificationIdentify and qualify new business opportunities within Lagos’ open marketMaintain and update leads accurately within CRM systemsSupport business development efforts to expand client baseCross-functional Sales Strategy ExecutionCollaborate with marketing to implement sales campaignsAlign with product and support teams to understand offerings and deliver superior serviceRepresent field challenges and insights in internal strategy sessions.

RequirementsB. Sc. / HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or related disciplineMinimum of 3 year’s experience managing open market/traditional trade accounts in LagosPrevious experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) is a plusStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsHigh proficiency in sales data interpretation and use of CRM toolsStrategic thinker with hands-on execution skillsDemonstrated ability to lead a team and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
