Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Location: Malaysia (with regional responsibilities across Vietnam and the wider Southeast Asia region)Compensation: RM40,000 - RM55,000 per monthAbout the RoleOur client, a leading international healthcare group, is expanding its footprint in Malaysia and Vietnam and is seeking a high-caliber Regional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in its setup and long-term growth strategy.This individual will serve as a key member of the leadership team, overseeing all financial and strategic aspects of the business. The CFO will work closely with the Group’s global headquarters and executive leadership to establish robust financial governance, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth as the group expands its presence in Southeast Asia.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full spectrum of financial management functions including financial reporting, planning & analysis, treasury, tax, audit, and risk management.Partner closely with the CEO and Board to develop and execute business strategies that drive the group’s expansion in Malaysia and Vietnam.Oversee capital raising activities and manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.Establish financial frameworks, systems, and policies to support operational finance and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.Drive the setup and implementation of finance operations for new hospitals and healthcare facilities.Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and business planning.Lead contract reviews, negotiations, and financial due diligence on new projects or partnerships.Build and develop a strong local finance team and instill best practices in financial control and governance.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align operational execution with financial objectives.Key RequirementsRecognized accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CA, ICAEW, or equivalent).At least 15 - 20 years of finance leadership experience, with proven track record in the healthcare, hospital, or medical services sector.Experience with reputable industry players is highly preferred.Strong background in capital raising, project financing, and banking relationships.Demonstrated capability in strategic planning, business setup, and financial policy development.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strategic, driven, and timeline-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Flexibility to travel regionally, especially between Malaysia, Vietnam, and Dubai in the first year.Why JoinThis is a rare opportunity to shape the financial foundation and long-term direction of a prestigious international healthcare group as it establishes and grows its presence in Southeast Asia.
