The Regional Director of Finance, Asia is responsible for providing consistent leadership in the financial area of the hotel by focusing on the profitability of the business; maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting; ensuring acceptable levels on internal control; ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and Aman ‘s Standard Operating Procedures; and safeguarding owners/investors assets.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the analysis and interpretation of financial data within the region and communicating this in a comprehensible form of meaningful variations in the operations. The analysis of the balance sheet accounts, on a selected basis and the review and analysis of the monthly internal benchmarking and operational performance analysis reports.Oversee and lead in preparation, in conjunction with the Global Head of Finance, the Hotel Directors of Finance and the Hotel General Managers, the annual budget, capital budgets and the rolling forecasts.Report accurate and complete financial and management reports on a timely basis to regional management within the region and the corporate office, in accordance with the company and ownership reporting requirements and policy.Development, maintenance, and adherence to a single chart of accounts, payroll and expense dictionary, and the function of accounts in order that the property financial and statistical data is accurately and consistently recorded and reported.Ensuring all properties are reported in compliance with the Uniform Chart of Accounts, Aman Policies & Procedures, ownership and bank documents and hotel management or other contractual agreements with respect to accounting matters.Monitor and manage the safekeeping of all hotel leases and contracts and any other legal records and documents.Timely reviews and approval of all balance sheet accounts, including monthly bank reconciliation and general ledger account reconciliations.Directs and prepares all financial reports in accordance with Aman Hotels’ requirements, meeting various due dates and deadlines, Monthly: Financial Statements, Forecasting Key Statistics Report, Cash Flow.Executes other special projects and responsibilities as assigned. Travel In the region is a requirement for this position.RequirementsIdeally 7 to 10 years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience.Previous experience within a similar regional role is essentialStrong regional experience in Japan, China, and Thailand.Strong organisational and time-management abilities with keen attention to detail.Fluency in Mandarin and Japanese is ideal.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.BenefitsAt Aman Group, we believe that our colleagues are at the core of our success.
