The Regional Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will engage with divisional leadership in managing the day-to-day fleet and equipment operations.ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site maintenance assistance to the locations within the assigned areaWork directly with local and regional management to achieve operational targets and goals. The primary customer is Field LeadershipEnsure required vehicle maintenance and inspections are completedGuide and assist in repair & maintenance, availability status, assist in replacement planning, and auditing of fleet and equipmentEngage in strategic planning and decision makingMaintain relationships and evaluate fleet service vendors and suppliersTravel to meet with vendorsServe as liaison between vendors and AWP SafetyNegotiating ratesIdentify new vendors (RFP)Assist in supporting the telematics programMaintain asset branding proceduresCollaborate with the safety department to ensure all vehicles meet safety standards. Will support North Business UnitOther duties as assignedQualificationsREQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMechanic/Maintenance repair supervisory experience, preferredThree (3) years minimum management experience (mid-level), preferredHands on mechanic experienceThree (3) years minimum (5 years preferred) mechanic experience preference given to retailMechanic management, scheduling, ordering, etc. Strong leadership, communication and coaching skillsIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and SalesforceValid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include but are not limited to the following:Primarily work within locations of assigned area, but will travel to other areas to assistUp to 75% travel (day and overnight)Work outside or within repair facilities and warehousesPosition lifts or carries objects up to 50 lbs.
