With a focus on creating exceptional living experiences for students, we combine property ownership, management expertise, and innovative marketing strategies to deliver best-in-class results for our residents, partners, and investors.Job PurposeThe Regional Leasing Director (RLD) is responsible for driving leasing velocity, ensuring execution of marketing strategy, and supporting on-site teams across an assigned portfolio of properties. Working closely with the VP of Marketing & Leasing and the Director of Leasing, the RLD serves as a regional leader, coach, and resource, ensuring that leasing teams are equipped, motivated, and aligned with University Partners’ leasing and marketing goals. This role requires regular property travel, performance oversight, and proactive problem-solving to deliver consistent results across the region.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OversightAct as the primary leasing and marketing leader for assigned properties, ensuring strategies are executed consistently and effectivelyPartner with Community Managers and Assistant Community Managers to monitor velocity, identify challenges, and implement corrective strategiesServe as a liaison between corporate leadership and site teams, ensuring alignment on goals and initiativesLeasing & Marketing StrategyDevelop, implement, and oversee property-specific marketing and leasing plans aligned with portfolio objectivesReview and approve property marketing calendars, promotional campaigns, and recommend effective rate strategiesPartner with revenue management and marketing teams to ensure property pricing, promotions, and positioning remain competitiveEnsure compliance with all University Partners policies, procedures, and brand standardsTraining & DevelopmentTrain, mentor, and coach on-site leasing teams to ensure best-in-class sales performance and customer experienceLead workshops, site visits, and regional trainings on leasing strategies, prospect engagement, and technology toolsPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance across leasing teamsReporting & ComplianceMonitor leasing velocity and key performance metrics across assigned properties, reporting findings to leadershipEnsure timely submission and accuracy of required leasing and marketing reportsAudit compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standardsComplete special projects as assigned by the executive teamTravel RequirementsSignificant travel (40–60%, depending on leasing season) required to support site teams, evaluate market conditions, and identify opportunitiesQualifications3+ years of student housing experience required, including a minimum of 2 years managing multi-state leasing and/or regional responsibilities in student housingProven ability to lead, motivate, and coach leasing teamsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, and market conditionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present effectively to both small and large groupsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large portfolioCoachable, enthusiastic, and adaptable; able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentEffective team player; collaborates well across functions and levelsAble to work calmly and effectively under pressure while managing competing prioritiesAble to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionEducation & Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university required; or an equivalent combination of education and multi-site student housing experiencePreferred QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new software quicklyExperience with Entrata or equivalent property management software; CRM and digital marketing tools a plus
