About The RoleFor this position, Agriterra is seeking an experienced, results-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic environment. The regional manager has an entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for making a real impact and steers our regional projects to success.As the regional manager, you will lead the regional teams in ensuring our projects are successful by overseeing staffing, budgeting, compliance, acquisition, and the entire project cycle. You’ll play a key role in growing Agriterra’s presence across the region by identifying opportunities, driving business development, and securing the resources needed to keep operations thriving. At the same time, you’ll inspire, coach, and empower a talented team of professionals - helping them reach their full potential and exceed expectations.Reporting structureIn this role, you report directly to Agriterra’s Chief of Projects, and you are responsible for the entire project portfolio in the West Africa region. You will lead and inspire project managers, driving region-wide initiatives. Together with the Regional Operations Manager, you will lead regional administrative and business development support teams to achieve impactful results.What makes you a successful candidateYou have an academic level of education in a relevant field;Your career shows a minimum of 3 years of proven management leadership where you have transformed teams and delivered results.You have experience in managing internationally funded projects in the spheres of private sector development and food security.You have a passion for the cooperative sector with hands-on agricultural business advisory experience, and you understand how cooperatives drive sustainable agricultural transformation.You are excellent at mastering project lifecycle management and can navigate complex challenges while maintaining unwavering alignment with stakeholder objectives. Together with your team, you can transform vision into measurable impact across all project phases.You are well-connected to national and international development priorities and emerging trends and can be an influential voice in shaping agricultural policy and cooperative advancement.You have proven te be successful in project design and business development in a varied network of international donor organisations.You are a result-driven leader who energises high-calibre professionals to exceed expectations.You enjoy building bridges across agricultural sectors, policymakers and donor communities and speak the language of impact with farmers, financiers, and decision makers alike.You are a multilingual communicator, Dutch is required, you are fluent in English, and, since you will be working in the West African region, your French is excellent. Convert international objectives to national and regional ones and operationalise them. Ensure Agriterra is financially and institutionally sustainable in the region and make sure the projects are designed and carried out to a high standard.The Regional Manager Is Specifically In Charge OfRegional Vision & Planning: Develop and continuously update ambitious multi-year regional planning.
