The Opportunity Reporting to Program Director of Plan Indonesia, the Regional Project Manager will be responsible for designing, planning and overseeing the management of projects, providing leadership and advisory to County Project Team members from 8 Plan International Offices and 3 project partners, CLT of Plan Indonesia, APAC Regional Hub.The Regional Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring effective project management of an anticipated project, across 11 countries in the Asia region, on the mental wellness of young people in the digital space. S/he is accountable for overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all project activities within the region, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements. The position’s purpose is to provide strategic direction, harmonize operational standards, and facilitate coordination among country teams and the Plan International APAC Hub to optimize efficiency and impactS/he is responsible for providing leadership to the project management team across 11 countries, liaising with the Country Leadership Team (CLT) of Plan Indonesia. The position is accountable for identifying and mitigating risks, resolving operational challenges, and facilitating communication among internal and external stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing. Additionally, the S/he supports capacity building within country offices, provides guidance on compliance and reporting, and ensures that the project delivers measurable impact while maintaining high-quality performance. By bridging regional strategy with local implementation, S/he plays a pivotal role in maximizing the project’s overall effectiveness and sustainability across all participating countries.Key ResponsibilityProgram planning, design, and development: design and plan projects within the thematic area, liaise with the Program Development Unit and Fundraising Department for resource mobilization; of Plan Indonesia and APAC regional hub, and align the project design and implementation with Plan International principles of safeguarding and gender transformative.Oversight of project management: ensuring effective project management by providing oversight and supervision to country project management team to maintain the delivery of appropriate technical, operational, and financial outputs (spending and delivery), overall monitoring of the progress of project implementation under the program as per the country priority and the global thematic; ensuring effective measure to comply with Plan International and donor policies and guidelines.Advocacy and influencing: lead the advocacy and influencing at Asia region and country’s agenda on the thematic area of expertise to inform policies, and enrich regional INGO/CSO discussions and public opinion contributing to the effort to build Plan Indonesia’s thought leadership in child rights and girls’ equality at the region.Reporting and knowledge management: ensuring the quality of comprehensive and compiled project reports, evaluation, and monitoring; participating and contributing to the reporting process at the country level and regional as an effort to document lessons learned, and knowledge products for information sharing and advocacy, both at country and regional level.Partnership and people management: maintaining effective working relationships with partners, Plan International Offices, Regional hub, and the Global Hub as well maintaining good teamwork for an efficient team.Requirements for The RoleEssentialMaster degree or higher majoring in mental wellness, gender development study, human rights, global health, strategic management, international relations, or social sciences related majors+10 years of proven national level program or +5 years of proven regional level program management in INGOs, UN and multi-country agenciesExperience managing multi-country initiatives, providing remote leadership, ensuring accountability, harmonizing implementation approaches, and leading cross-border coordination. Ability to identify synergies and scale innovations across countries.Proven ability to engage, manage, and influence institutions donors, UN agencies, INGOs, regional platforms, philanthropic entities, and private sector partners at regional levelDiplomatic and good communication strategy and negotiation abilities with regional intergovernmental bodies, donors, networks and other regional audiencesAbility to lead multi-country teams, providing strategic oversight while empowering national teamsFacilitation and convening skills to unite diverse stakeholders, including youth leaders, governments, private sector, and civil societyUnderstanding of gender transformative programming, intersectionality, disability inclusion, and international frameworks such as CEDAW and UN Youth StrategyDesirableMaster degree majoring in mental wellness, gender development study, human rights, global health, strategic management, international relations, or social sciences related majorsAbility to manage relationships with multi-lateral and bilateral donors, meet compliance standards, lead donor reporting, and co-create new funding opportunities.Conflict resolution, intercultural communication, and team motivation skills. Ability to align project objectives with regional agendas.Knowledge of youth participation models, adolescent empowerment frameworks, youth policy advocacy, and safeguarding standards.
