Headquartered in the USA, with offices located around the world, Agena Bioscience nurtures a highly collaborative culture for both the customer and employees encouraging diversity, creativity, and innovation.Scope/Role/DescriptionThe position is customer-oriented, and primary responsibilities involve capital equipment and consumable sales as well as account and relationship development in assigned target markets. This role reports to the ANZ/SEA Regional ManagerResponsibilitiesDevelop deep customer engagement within the clinical diagnostics/pathology sectors as well as academia and applied genomics industriesDevelop and execute strategies to achieve target sales/revenue quotaProvide accurate forecast information for the businessVisit customers, understand their needs and match assigned products to those needsManage sales funnel process (identify, contact, present, negotiate, close) and record activities, opportunities, contacts etc. in the company CRM system..Effectively engage with colleagues from different functions to collate materials for the customer including technical data and ensure there is a line of communication with the applications teamUse strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain customer relationships & demonstrate the concept of key account managementAttendance at key conferences, trade shows and symposia, when requiredReport projected sales using company templates in a timely and accurate mannerGeneration of detailed assigned region-wide and assigned-account wide maps to ensure a focused business approach to the marketsContribute to marketing and application development activitiesCreate and utilize effective presentations to win businessStay updated on all relevant procedures and processes (SOP’s) linked to the role as defined.Other tasks as assignedRequired skills and experienceTertiary qualification (e.g. BSc/MSc/PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline such as Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry.Knowledge of routine molecular platforms and associated workflowsMore than eight (8) years of sales experience with the target customers from Clinical Diagnostics/Pathology/Academia or Applied Genomics industries.Previous capital equipment sales experience, preferably with analytical platforms.Priority is given to candidates with clinical diagnostic and/or next-generation sequencing (NGS).Fluent in English both written and spokenGood communication and computer skills.Good analytical skills and the ability to understand customer problems and move the problem toward solution.Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of managing a wide range of responsibilities simultaneously.Good intercultural and social skills with ability to work in a teamCapable of multi-tasking and establishing strong working relationships.Strong follow up skills as proven by good customer relationships.Flexibility to travel frequently within Indonesia, Singapore & Philippines
