We are proud of our culture and employ people across a diverse range of occupations, backgrounds and skills, who are passionate and committed to creating a better world for all older Australians.About The RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated Regional Work Health and Safety (WHS) Officer to support our aged care centres across the Eurobodalla and ACT regions.This role is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Work Health and Safety systems, processes, policies, and frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and the promotion of a safe work environment at each site. Locations Covered:IRT Crown Gardens (Batemans Bay)IRT MoruyaIRT DalmenyIRT Kangara Waters (Belconnen)Employment Options Full-Time : 38 hours per week Based across both the Eurobodalla region and ACT, supporting all sites listed above. Part-Time (Split Role):Eurobodalla Region: 22.8 hours per weekACT Region: 15.2 hours per weekThis role offers flexibility for the right candidate and the opportunity to make a real impact on safety and wellbeing within a values-driven organisation.This Role Is Also Responsible ForProvide advice and support to Management, central WHS and operational teams to ensure compliance with current legislation and achieve safety targets (KPIs) Coordinate investigation of incidents, near misses and unsafe work practicesCoordinate andcomplete risk assessmentsDeliversafety engagements, Toolbox Talks and other safety and wellbeing initiativesEnsure hazards identified, reported and corrective actions are completedCoordinate and support the Regional WHS Committee by facilitating meetings, fostering participation and regular communication with Committee members Undertake the function of the RTW Coordinator and monitor injured workers through the RTW process with support of the central Injury Management teamComplete monthly reports with insights and analysisKeep up to date with changes in Work Health and Safety legislation To Be Successful You Will HavePrevious demonstrated hands on experience in a similar role (within the Aged Care Industry highly regarded)Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety Be an accredited Return to Work CoordinatorCurrent Class C Driver’s License with an ability to travel to IRT operating regions as required (NSW, ACT)Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation, policies and procedures and ensure they are operating within the work environmentExceptional time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlinesHigh level communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to maintain confidential information in a professional and discrete mannerBe solution-focused with a genuine passion for workplace safetyAbility to work autonomouslyBenefits For YouCompetitive pay and more cash in your pocket (less tax) with not-for-profit salary packagingFlexible working conditionsBirthday leave - relax and take a day off on us!Professional and career development opportunitiesMultiple career pathwaysDiscounted gym membershipsFree counselling via Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and staff wellness programIf you feel this is the right role for you, we’d love to hear from you! , fill in your details and submit.
