In this role, you will enable business growth while serving as a gatekeeper to prevent regulatory, legal, and reputational harm. You will collaborate with commercial and operations teams to analyze new clients and business opportunities, ensuring compliance while driving the company’s growthWhat will you be doing?Ensure compliance of dLocal’s operations with local and international laws and regulationsMaintain an effective legal and compliance function, including regulatory and licensing matters, AML/CFT, and KYC among various LATAM countriesCollaborate across all teams to ensure proper communication with regulators and maintain relations with authorities overseeing company operationsDraft, compile, and follow up on Compliance KPIs/KRIs, monitoring, and reportingSupport various regulatory and statutory auditsImplement and monitor proactive compliance risk managementMonitor and report compliance risk gapsMaintain a compliance calendar and ensure legal and regulatory returns are submitted on timeHelp maintain AML & CFT (Financial Crime Compliance) deliverables in line with applicable laws and regulations and assist with their effective implementation within the GroupAssist with the compilation of statutory requirements specific to Compliance and AML & CFT (Financial Crime Compliance).Facilitate adequate processes to address transaction monitoring and fraud controlsMaintain and oversee good internal governanceWhat skills do you need?A Bachelor of Law or a similar field, or a Master’s degree, is a plusSolid experience as a Compliance Officer, Legal Advisor, or in a similar positionExperience with regulations in the LATAM region, particularly Argentinian regulationsFluent in English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plusExperience in the payments or financial industry is highly preferredBusiness-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with commercial and operations teamsHighly analytical with strong attention to detailExcellent communication skillsWhat do we offer?
