We are looking for a Compliance Regulatory Program Manager to partner with the Compliance Lead to support the Compliance Japan Team. Reporting to the Compliance Lead - Japan, you will provide highly skilled support of Compliance activities, risk assessments, legislative reviews and undertake complex projects to support the team.You WillPolicy & Program Development and ManagementStay on top of regulatory changes, developments, industry trends and Square roadmaps to drive decisionsOrganize and manage technical and business projects, by gathering requirements, developing and tracking project milestones, and estimating work effortsIdentify and evaluate AML transaction monitoring and local regulatory requirements for new and existing products or features, and create Compliance request documentEngage with internal and external team members to improve processes and proceduresHelp building tactical and scalable solutions for operational teams to manage compliance tasks and risksDesign and maintain all relevant documentation and content according to established cadenceManage regulatory/compliance inquiries from relevant internal and external stakeholders and partnersCommunicate with regulatory bodies, acquirers and network brands when necessaryWork with colleagues across Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk, Legal, Policy and business units.Risk assessments of Japan marketYou HaveExperience in Fin-tech or financial industry, working with compliance/RiskExperience in communicating with local regulatory bodies5+ years in relevant compliance/legal roles in JapanKnowledge, understanding and applicability of various local laws and regulations to the products and features offered and consideredExcellent verbal and written communication skills both in Japanese and EnglishAdaptability in an agile and fast-paced environmentAbility to execute independently and work with team members of all levels A mindset to deliver results proactively, resourcefully, and methodicallyPassion for Square and interest in the technology industryTechnologies We Use and TeachCertified attorney (Japan) ACAMS Government license/registration supportWe’re working to build a more inclusive economy where our customers have equal access to opportunity, and we strive to live by these same values in building our workplace.
