Core services include research design, data collection, and analysis and report writing. Consilient is engaged in research activities across a multitude of sectors which include: Emergencies & Humanitarian Aid, Education, Food Security & Resilience, Gender Empowerment, Financial Inclusivity, Migration & Displacement, Livelihoods & Economic Growth, Social Protection, Health, Water & Sanitation, and Security, Stabilization, & Countering Violent Extremism. Job Description: We are currently looking for a temporary Office Manager/Fieldwork Officer to work with our team in Erbil in managing administrative office and financial matters, as well as contributing to our knowledge systems around fieldwork.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to, contributing to our internal databases on local rates, standardizing and improving our roster of temporary researchers, and managing administrative and financial office tasks. It may also include managing the data collection on short-term projects, including working with temporary researchers, overseeing data quality, and contributing to data collection tool development and translation. The initial contract for this position will be for four months, with the potential for extension based on performance and organization needs.

Preference is for applicants who are currently based in or are willing to relocate to Erbil for the duration of this contract; however, we will consider highly qualified candidates based in other areas within Iraq. This is a national staff position and international applicants will not be considered.

Description Of Main DutiesConducting market research on rates for data collection across Iraq, including transport, accommodation, and other data collection costs;Contributing to improving and standardizing our temporary national researcher roster;Contributing to internal knowledge databases on security and movement conditions inside Iraq;Support with Arabic-English translations on data collection tools, training materials, and other products where necessary;Manage teams of enumerators/researchers and ensuring high quality of data submitted and adherence to the fieldwork plan for short-term data collection projects;Complete basic administrative and financial tasks for the Iraq office (i. e. completing payments, keeping financial records, etc).

Ideal Candidate Profile1-5 years of previous experience conducting similar research or working with similar private sector organizations/NGOs/INGOs/multilaterals inside Iraq (mandatory);Previous experience working with data collection platforms such as ODK, Kobo Collect etc (mandatory);Previous experience conducting KIIs and/or FGDs inside Iraq (mandatory);Previous experience managing teams of enumerators/researchers inside Iraq (strongly preferred);Experience working with local authorities or other permissions bodies inside Iraq (strongly preferred);Wide networks of researchers or enumerators in at least one governorate in Iraq;Ability to work independently and proactively;High attention to detail;Strong organizational skills;Ability to work effectively in a team setting;Ability to manage high-stress situations and meet deadlines under pressure;Strong sense of research ethics and commitment to working with integrity and confidentiality;Fluent in Arabic and English (mandatory); Fluent in Kurdish (preferred)How to applyPlease submit your CV through this link.
