the right to peace (R2P), livelihood (R2L) and quality education (R2QE). Finn Church Aid Kenya is looking for Technical Project OfficersLocation: Marsabit - 1 , Samburu - 1 , West Pokot - 1 and Tana River - 1 (Provide the specific location(s) where you are willing to work ). Availability:

ImmediatelyPrimary Purpose Of The PositionTo be the lead technical focal point in charge of Digital Learning Program (DLP) interventions and will be responsible for coordination, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluating educational efforts aimed at improving digital skills and knowledge among learners and teachers in collaboration with ICT officers, education officers, Heads of Institutions (HOIs), ICT Authority, MoE, Donors and other technical staff across all the funding spectrum. Tasks And ResponsibilitiesProgramme Planning and Implementation. Carryout needs assessments to identify digital literacy gaps in among learners, teachers, and community members.

Promote utilization of training materials and tools (virtual labs, ICT assessment tools, Digital Literacy apps etc) that are aligned with Competence Based Education and National Digital Skills Curriculum standards. Facilitate implementation of inclusive programmes tailored for different demographics e. g. , youth, elderly, persons with disabilities, rural populations in the community digital hubs. Support development of ICT enhanced assessment tool that will improve school-based assessment and help track learners progress in schools. Support implementation of STEM bootcamps and MHPSS sessions in project schools.

Training and Capacity BuildingPartner with ICT Authority to organize and conduct training sessions or workshops on basic to advanced digital skills for ICT volunteers in line with National Digital Skills Curriculum standards and FCA digital skilling curriculum. Facilitate training of educators and implementation of Blended Learning Approach (BLA) in target counties. Equip teachers, volunteers, partners and facilitators with skills and competencies to deliver digital literacy content effectively/ integration of ICT in education. Promote continuous professional development for educators involved in the programme. Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with schools, partners, line government departments, and donors for successful implementation of Digital Learning Project.

Support community mobilization efforts to encourage participation in programmes. Represent the organization in county Technical Working Group on Education/ County Steering Committee (CSC)Partner with MOE/TSC/ICTA and conduct teacher support visit (teacher mentorship and coaching) in project sites. Monitoring and EvaluationTrack participant progress, learning outcomes, and engagement. Collect and analyse data to measure the programme’s impact and effectiveness. In collaboration with MEAL, carryout data collection to generate practical information that can be used for ongoing programme. Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly update reports.

Travel to all project sites/schools and conduct regular monitoring of the project quality together with partners and Government entities. Document good practices and lesson learnt for replication and wider dissemination with partners and donors. Contribute to Concept Note and proposal development by providing real time data and information. Policy and AdvocacyRaise awareness about safe and responsible use of technology (e. g. , digital citizenship, cyberbullying, misinformation) among learner, teachers and community members. Facilitate dissemination of ICT policy among partners and community members.

Advocate for digital literacy initiatives within educational institutions and local communitiesEnsure compliance with child protection policies (safe internet access for Learner and staff users). Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding education technology and data privacy. Qualifications And ExperienceEducationBachelor’s Degree(s) in Education / Educational Technology, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Education or Equivalent from a recognized institution. Knowledge And ExperienceMinimum of 2 years working experience in an educational sector especially in ASALExperience managing volunteers or teams (preferred). Experience working with INGOs or other international donor-funded programs in delivering education services.

Experience in Project Management (with a focus on education or digital initiatives)A good understanding of how, and the skills needed, to maintain reliable computer systems. Knowledge of EdTech tools (Google Classroom, Kolibri, Msingi pack, Moodle, Kahoot) is a plus. Soft Skills RequiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsTechnological proficiencyOrganizational and time management abilitiesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsCultural sensitivity and adaptabilityLeadership and mentoring ability. Good interpersonal skills, with ability to explain computer and IT concepts to staff who may have very basic IT knowledge.
