MyanmarProject Assistant - MyanmarOrganizationCESVI - Cooperazione e Sviluppo OnlusPosted 22 Aug 2025 Closing date 3 Sep 2025Work ContextCESVI has been operating in Myanmar since 2001, combining humanitarian aid and development interventions with a strong commitment to community empowerment, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability. The organization works in close partnership with local stakeholders and CSOs, aiming to strengthen resilience and promote inclusive development. Since 2019, CESVI has relaunched its activities with a three-year AICS-funded project on agro-value chains and has since consolidated its presence in the Central Dry Zone (CDZ) and Southern Shan State.

Its main office is in Yangon, with field offices in Nyaung U, Mahlaing, Magway, Kalaw, and Sagaing. In the past five years, CESVI’s work has focused on Education in Emergency (EiE), Rural Development, Financial Inclusion, Food Security, Livelihoods, and Natural Resource Management, alongside WASH, shelter, and cash-based interventions. In rural development, particular emphasis has been placed on Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA), promoting good agricultural practices, water-saving technologies, resilient post-harvest systems, and improved market access for small producers.

These efforts, supported by UNDP, FAO, ADB, and Italian Cooperation, aim to mitigate the impacts of climate change while reducing poverty and food insecurity. Since 2022, CESVI has led a DG-ECHO funded consortium in EiE, benefiting over 16,000 children in Sagaing and Magway with adapted curricula, psychosocial support, digital learning tools, and safe learning environments. In 2024, CESVI managed a portfolio of 1. 6 million USD, reaching over 45,000 beneficiaries. Current projects include initiatives funded by FAO, WFP, DG-ECHO, the Italian Government (8×1000), and private donors, with particular attention to emergency response and resilience-building.
