WBL services its loan portfolio and loan portfolios for third parties, specializing in the management of non-performing loan pools and REO.WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce.This is a remote Contract/Consultant position.Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Location: 100% Remote for Turkey, LATAM and IndiaRequirementsJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in executing the company's compliance program, including monitoring the effectiveness of controls, managing regulatory reporting obligations, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and proceduresMonitor regulatory environments to identify emerging compliance risks and requirements; develop strategic responses and guide cross-functional teams in implementing risk-based solutions aligned with business objectivesSupport the Compliance Officer during regulatory examinations and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to regulatory inquiriesPromote a strong culture of compliance by collaborating with business teams and supporting the delivery of relevant training programsOversee the preparation of reports and analytics for senior management, and assess the need for new or renewed licensesContribute to the design and enhancement of controls by translating AML/CTF regulatory requirements into practical, actionable measuresSupervise the ongoing development and refinement of compliance testing programsServe as a key advisor and deputy to the Compliance Officer, providing strategic support for initiatives, special projects, and other critical compliance mattersTravel to the United States as needed to support on-site requirementsRequirementsLaw degree (Juris Doctor or international equivalent such as LLB or LLM); U.S. law school strongly preferredStrong knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to residential and commercial mortgage lending, as well as corporate governance6-10 years of experience in a law firm required; in-house experience is a plusExceptional command of English, both written and verbalExcellent organizational and communication skills, with keen attention to detail and strong follow-throughProven ability to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, supported by advanced legal research and writing skillsStrong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with sound business judgment and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities effectivelyHighly proactive, resourceful, and skilled at building effective working relationships across teams and departmentsProficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe applicationsValid U.S. visa requiredBenefitsCONTRACT/CONSULTANCY POSITIONPTO AvailableUSD salary ($3500 negotiable)100% Work from home
