The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, estimating material costs, and ensuring competitive pricing for custom structural packaging. Key Responsibilities:
Estimate costs for folding carton projects, including material selection, printing processes, and finishing techniques Analyze customer specifications and provide accurate pricing based on production costs and market rates Liaise with production teams to confirm technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness of projects Source materials and negotiate pricing with suppliers to optimize costs Prepare detailed proposals and quotations for clients Review construction drawings and packaging designs to ensure precision in cost estimation Collaborate with sales and design teams to align project expectations with budget constraints Monitor industry trends to stay updated on pricing, production techniques, and material innovationsQualifications & Skills:
✅ Experience in estimating for folding carton manufacturing and printing processes. ✅ Strong proficiency in Excel and estimating tools like Planswift, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or Primavera. ✅ Knowledge of different printing methods (offset, flexographic, digital) and their cost implications. ✅ Ability to read and interpret structural packaging designs and CAD drawings. ✅ Detail-oriented approach to ensure accurate cost calculations. ✅ Excellent communication skills for liaising with vendors, clients, and internal teams. ✅ Background in procurement, canvassing, and materials management for packaging projects. ✅ Experience working with US-based or international clients is a plus. Prior work in a packaging or printing company specializing in folding cartonsExperience in bidding processes and cost negotiationsFamiliarity with graphic design tools used in carton production
